Quarter 3: Can We Have a Little More AK? Please?

I'll start off by saying that Mrs. SJF started watching basketball about 11 years ago - she stopped watching basketball about 11 years ago.

Second, that 5-6 minute of Andrei Kirilenko at the point may have been the most fun five to six minute stretch of basketball I've seen since I knew Howard Eisley was playing his last six minutes as a Jazz player. Deron Williams might be my favorite Jazz player, but after watching AK play the point, I wouldn't be heartbroken if he decided to hack Baron Davis a couple times at the beginning of the 3rd.

The Jazz have looked okay to this point - Reggie Miller kindly pointed out near the end of the half how amazing it was that GS was being outrebounded 31-11 yet were only down six points (I believe it was 59-53 at the time). I would point out that the Jazz played 11 minutes of the 1st quarter without a PG. And even when Deron came in, it looked like he was sleep walking.

One more thing: Ronnie Frickin' Brewer (how can anybody not love the way he plays the game) - I decided after watching the 1st that Jerry Sloan can't please me unless he plays Brewer 48 minutes, forces an overtime period and plays him a total of 53 minutes. But hey, I'll take what I can get at this point.

BTW, I'd pay to see Philipe Sparks daughter and Serena in steel cage UFC style match.

What am I looking for in the 3rd quarter? Deron needs to come to play, stay out of foul trouble and knock down some shots (that near airball three point attempt was about as Point-Four as it gets). Hey Boozer - 3 rebs isn't going to get it done.

Best wishes to Dee and Derek.

Nice to see Memo come out firing. Is Biedrins really pronounced like Biedritch?

Blocked by AK! It never ceases to amaze the impact AK can have when the coach lets him play. As I was typing that AK came up another great block.

Baron Davis doing his best to screw his team out of a chance to win. That said, you can't ever count them out as Baron hits a three - Baron is showing me something tonight. Mainly that I'd like to grow a beard just like that.

Jazz were up 12 when Baron got his Technical - three 3 point baskets later, it's a 5 point game. Jazz might want to try playing some defense.

Boozer with the assist to Stephen Jackson.

As Baron Davis knocks down another 3, I'm thinking the Jazz may want to try having Deron, Giricek, Boozer and Memo go rest on the bench while AK holds down the fort on the defensive end. The results wouldn't change much, but those four would have all their energy to use on offense.

I will be asking all Warriors fans reading this blog to thank me for jinxing the Jazz with the Baron Davis comment. (just click on the link labeled "comments")

How gay is Blake?

Answer: not as gay as Seacrest.

Brewer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fisher? Seriously, WTF?!

84-80. Jazz.

Nice pass, Derek. He doesn't take long to make his impact felt.

I'm speechless. wow. just. wow. In the comments section, I'd like somebody to tell what Fisher does well on a basketball court. I want to give Sloan the benefit of the doubt, but I'm just not seeing it. Fisher sucks. His kid is sick - I can't even imagine what he's going through. But this is the NBA and I'm not sure I wouldn't rather have Terry Nashif in the game for the Jazz right now.

Hey SJF, feel stupid much? You should. Simply having two fingers is no excuse to type.

sheesh - If you guys are going to comment on my live-blogging, you may want to bring a bit more to the table than that. Wow.

AK is playing great basketball as Sloan is giving him some freedom. Brewer got some minutes last night. Fisher finally came through in the clutch, Deron is playing excellent basketball. The Jazz won the game.

Life couldn't be better.

You want me to bring a bit more to the table? How about this:

It's clear where your loyalties lay. The strengths of those you support and the weaknesses of those you don't are grossly multiplied, which not only damages your credibility, but makes you look too emotional to be rational.
But you leave yourself little escape hatches here and there in your jazzblogging. If anyone gets upset about what you say, or if you say something that later proves to be the opposite of the truth, you can easily claim it was "all in good fun," after all, "it's just a little blog for laughs."

The truth is, I was just giving you a hard time in the same vein you give Harpring, or Fisher, or Sloan a hard time. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the blogging, imo.
